FAREWELL PARTY

When I opened fukusaki blog, I was shocked because everything was written in Japanese. I was expected that some of it was written in English due to globalism or foreign influences. Well, let’s make a move and try to be more international!!!
Okay, let me introduce myself first, my name is Artnice Mega, you can call me Mega. I’m from Indonesia. I was little bit shy at first, but then after I felt comfortable and adapted well enough, I immediately became talkactive and cheerful. So, if you ask me how noisy I am now in the lab.. beg my pardon, but it shows how really comfortable I am in our lab.
Before we go to our topic, I will try to introduce my lab first in English. So, here we go..
Our lab is one of the big labs in our faculty of Biotechnology, why can we consider it as a big lab? It’s not because our lab is consisting of big people, I mean, literally big sized like me, but it is because we have big population. We have lot of students, either Japanese students or foreigner, and staffs (as you can see in the picture below). This picture is the newest picture when we are together, sadly, excluding Fukusaki Sensei, Ono Sensei and several staffs. Big lab, isn’t it?

Since I came to Fukusaki Lab, the most party that I like is farewell party, that’s why I choose this topic to share with all of you.
What is farewell party?
According to Google search engine, farewell party is a celebration to mark the departure of someone, wether they leave for retiring or moving to another place. So, in our lab case, we will hold farewell party when several students graduate or someone leaves from our lab. In the last March, we made celebration for these people:
Kakuta San, Takeda San, Ohta San, Noguchi San, Matsuo San, Harada San, Izumi San, Bamba Sensei, and Nakayama San.

What we usually do in the farewell party?
In the farewell party, we will go to hotel which is a little bit far from our campus and stay overnight. In the last March, we went to Hyogo prefecture and held a party there. We ate dinner together:

We played funny games together.Although, I’m foreign student and I don’t understand Japanese language at all, I could still enjoy the party. What kind of games that we were playing with.. here they are

1)      Question and Answer quiz

Don’t expect the questions for this kind of game are difficult that you'll need your brain to solve it. Nope! The question we played was beyond believe and the answer was very unpredictable (they were also provide English version for each question and instruction). Are you curious? Let’s join our lab and our activities (

2)      Gesture quiz

Could you imagine how funny it is? (:

3)      Dare and Guessing Quiz
If you want to know the special ability from our lab member you can dare them in front of all of the lab member with this quiz, and if you want to know how strong Shao san is, you can put someone on his back while he do some push ups exercise. Then, if you don’t know who is Shao san? You can join our lab, I bet you will like him due to his warm personality (p.s. Shao san you have to pay me for this sentence, thanks)

Then for the last, we didn’t forget to give farewell video and souvenir to the lab member who will leave us. In this moment, you could throwback to your live since you came until the last before you go, either it was regret or grateful!
So.. good luck for your future Bamba Sensei, Izumi San, and Nakayama San, Kakuta San, Takeda San, Ohta San, and Noguchi San.

(Achiwa San, Nakano San, Matsunaga San, Nakatani San, and Nakashima San)
The last but not least, I want to say, “Every exit is an entrance somewhere else!” That’s why I like farewell party, it seems like you escort someone to their exit door and wish them for their new and bright entrance door!
Thanks to the farewell party organizer (ex-B4 students)
